The European launch of the Philips Hue Go portable table lamp has been delayed. The product, revealed earlier this year, was expected to launch in the region at the end of the summer. However, the light will now go on sale early in 2023. In a statement to hueblog.de, Philips explained that there was a delay in the European certification process, which meant that production had to be postponed, and thus the release date was pushed back.

The Philips Hue Go light is a smart gadget for use indoors and outdoors, rated IP54. The portable table lamp has a silicone grip to make it easier to carry, with up to 48 hours of battery life. You can recharge the light in under four hours using the charging base which comes with the device. A button on the gadget lets you switch between preset light scenes. The Hue Go lamp can be connected to your Hue Bridge, allowing you to link and control up to 50 Philips products.

It is currently unclear whether European customers who pre-ordered the Hue portable light for €149.99 (~US$152.91) will receive an order cancellation or just have to wait a few months to receive the device. The North American launch of the product will proceed as planned, as the certification has been completed for this region. The lamp will be released later this summer, retailing for US$159.99.
