Save on Google smart displays, streaming devices, smart home security, and more.

The Google Summer Sale is on now at Amazon(Opens in a new window) , Walmart(Opens in a new window) , and Best Buy(Opens in a new window) , all of which are offering discounts on smart displays, streaming devices, smart home security, and more.

Whether you’re on the market for a gift for Father’s Day or that special grad in your life—or simply looking to spruce up your own collection of smart devices, now is a good time to save some cash.

Save on the the highly recommended Pixel 6 Pro or the Google Mini, the “most affordable Google Assistant smart speaker you can buy." I have a few Google Minis myself, spread liberally throughout my home so that I can take my music with me no matter where I roam, plus a Hub display to connect them, and they've made my day-to-day a little easier.

If you’re getting the cameras, Google’s Nest Aware subscriptions(Opens in a new window) start at $6 per month or $60 per year ($12 annual savings) and Nest Aware Plus is $12 per month or $120 per year ($24 annual savings). The Aware subscription includes 30-day event video history and the Plus offers 60 days. The Aware Plus subscription has 24/7 video history with up to 10 days of recording. Both subscriptions offer the same intelligent alerts, e911, and supported devices.

The Pixel 6 Pro was rated “outstanding” by PCMag and named an Editors’ Choice winner, and earns high ratings across the board from users. It improves upon the Pixel 5 in every way, boasting an excellent camera, long battery life, and most importantly an affordable price, which is made all the sweeter with an additional $100 off during the sale.

Enjoy 4K resolution and high-definition audio when watching popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube TV, and Prime Video with the Chromecast with Google TV. It received high marks from PCMag due to the addition of a remote and on-screen interface with a streamlined menu system for a more user-friendly experience. If you frequently use streaming platforms and haven’t yet pulled the trigger on a smart TV, this is an affordable way to smarten up your TV.

The second-generation Nest Mini boasts better sound with more power and bass. Stream music directly from your favorite services like Spotify or Pandora or directly from your phone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi while you’re out by the pool or indoors, avoiding the heat. The Nest Mini plays well with most other smart devices, allowing you to use it to control things like temperature and lighting using just your voice, so there’s no need to get up after you’ve gotten comfortable. Its low-profile design and selection of colors make it a nice accent piece for any room in your home.

Like rival products, this Nest Hub can control other in-home devices and stream media, but as this is a Google product it makes connecting to Nest cameras and thermostats pretty seamless, and it plays nice with existing Google Photos and YouTube accounts. Features like an ambient light sensor mean the screen brightness matches the room, while the sunrise alarm function makes it easier to gradually wake up in the morning. The lack of a camera means you can’t make video calls (audio calls only) but you can be extra sure no one is sneaking a peek at your space. If you have the Nest Aware subscription, you can view your Nest cameras on this device.

Need a bigger smart display? The Nest Hub Max offers a 10-inch 1,280-by-800 display with a 6.5MP resolution camera, perfect for calling friends and family. The stereo speaker has a 30-watt subwoofer, a step up from the smaller Nest Hub with its single 15-watt speaker.

Beat the heat with the Google Nest Learning Thermostat. The improved intelligence allows the device to learn and develop its own schedule based on your home’s unique needs, which will minimize your energy usage and keep things cool while temperatures rise this summer. With more ways to connect to your other smart devices than its predecessors, the Google Nest Learning Thermostat is a great addition to your smart home setup. A 2.1-inch, automatic light-up display and a Farsight function make this iteration very user-friendly. Google stepped up its game with a sleek stainless steel housing and the inclusion of rechargeable batteries that act as a backup power supply.

While it’s not the smartest, the Nest Thermostat brings your heating and cooling into the smart-device age on a budget. You can program it to raise and lower the temperature based on whether someone’s at home, manage your temperatures for better energy savings (which means lower bills), and control it from the Home app.

The second generation of Google Nest Cam’s built-in intelligence can tell the difference between people, animals, and vehicles and it sends alerts directly through the Google Home app for your review. Its built-in mic and speakers allow you to talk and listen and you can contact local emergency services from the Google Home app. Also within the app, you can view live video 24/7 and up to 3 hours of free event video history. Need more? Add a Nest Aware subscription for up to 60 days of video history.

It’s important to note that the Nest Cam requires the Google Home app and a free Google Account. It isn’t compatible with the Nest app or the Nest site as the previous generation was.
