Anisoprint, a manufacturer of continuous fibre 3D printing systems and software, has announced the release of two new PETG filaments for desktop Anisoprinting: Clear PETG and CFC PETG. It was created specifically for use with the Composer A4 and A3 Continuous Fiber 3D Printing.

The material is combined with a proprietary profile in the Aura slicer library, which ensures high quality and precise properties.

“A lot of our customers use different PETG variations with our dedicated profiles, with sometimes unpredictable results in terms of mechanical characteristics and quality. We decided to launch our own plastic with characteristics perfectly suitable for the profiles. The new material has been intensively tested and will ensure that our customers get the desired result and quality.”

CFC (Composite Fiber Co-extrusion) technology is used in anisoprinting. During the printing process, it essentially combines the thermoplastic material with a reinforcing material. A composite extruder with two inputs is used to accomplish this. This composite printing method produces a part that is many times stronger and lighter than plastic, metal, or non-optimal 3D printed composites.

Plastic 3D printing, like any other innovative manufacturing technology, prioritises material diversity over standardisation: without defined boundaries, the resulting products are frequently unpredictable and unstable in quality. The combination of the new formulation material and fine-tuned parameters was specifically designed to achieve Anisoprint’s goal of providing users with solutions that produce stable and reliable quality results.

PETG is one of the most universal and effective materials for composite fibre co-extrusion, so the new PETG filaments are based on it (CFC). The materials have a number of advantages, including:
